e.l.f. Haul

Recently e.l.f. had one of their usual offers on their website, however this time it was 50% off and I could not resist purchasing a few items!

First off I purchased three of their lipsticks (Captivating, Voodoo and Fearless) and I must say I am quite impressed with the application, the consistency is smooth and creamy and the colour is definitely opaque, and for £1.95 each (normally) they're quite a bargain. I think I will be purchasing more shades of these as I think they will become a new staple for me, even after just trying them once. (Please do not judge the application of these swatches, I definitely need practice applying lipstick!)

I also purchased one of the Studio Moisturising Lipsticks in the shade Velvet Rope and I have to say I am not as pleased with this one, although the consistency is still smooth and creamy, the colour is not as opaque as the e.l.f. basic lipsticks. I would still purchase other shades in this lipstick but I would bear in mind for the future that the colour may not be as vivid as expected.

Next I purchased a few brushes to add to my small collection, the main focus being eye brushes. I purchased the e.l.f. Eyeshadow Brush, Eye Crease Brush, Blending Eye Brush and the Eyeliner brush. i have not tried any of these yet as I haven't had chance to but I've heard many good things about these so I'm very optimistic! Then comes the Stipple Brush, I've heard so many good things about this brush that I thought I'd give it a go, again I have not had chance to try this yet but I am looking forward to it!

I also brought the e.l.f. Studio Makeup Lock and Seal as I thought this would be idea for making eyeliner stay put for longer and making eye shadows more intense, I have not had time to have a play with this yet but some have said it is similar to MAC's Fix+ so I'm definitely looking forward to it! Along with this I also brought the Studio Brush Shampoo to help maintain my brushes.

I also decided that I would have a go with the Natural Lash Kit, I haven't heard much about this product and I haven't tried these yet so I'm a little bit wary about them as I'm a bit a lash rookie but I'm sure they'll be fine. Then I repurchased the Cream Eyeliner in Black as I've used this before and it was my go-to eyeliner but I never got around to repurchasing it when I ran out, saying that though it did last a long time. I also brought the Eye Refresh and I have used this a few times, it just feels very cold against the skin and for a few minutes after application, I haven't seen any difference in my under-eye appearance however I will continue to use this.

Lastly I purchased a nail polish in the shade Green Machine, the colour is very dark, too dark for summer but I think this will be perfect for Autumn and Winter. I haven't tried this one out but in the past I have purchased these nail polishes and the formula is always nice but has been quite quick to chip so I will see with this one and I hope it is different!

Have you ordered any e.l.f. goodies lately?
